Nanny-Housekeeper
We’re a warm, busy family in Barnsbury, Islington, with three children aged 5, 10, and 12. Both parents work full time, and we’re looking for a special person to become the calm, capable heart of our home — and a genuine part of our family.

Our wonderful nanny of ten years is leaving to start her own family, and we’re now looking for someone equally special to fill her shoes.

The Role

A combined nanny housekeeper and family PA role covering childcare, cooking, housekeeping, and day-to-day admin support. During term time, a natural window opens for housekeeping and PA tasks while the children are at school. During holidays, the children take priority.

Hours: Monday to Friday, 7am–7pm (approximately 8pm on Tuesdays for Cub Scouts). Two weekday babysitting evenings included within contracted hours. Occasional weekend babysitting by mutual agreement, paid additionally.

Childcare

Morning routine, school drop-off, and afternoon collection. After-school care including homework support, clubs, and wind-down. Managing schedules, kit bags, and logistics. Occasional proxy parenting when both parents are unavailable.

Cooking

Food matters to us. We’re looking for a genuinely confident and enthusiastic cook — not ready meals territory. A proper family meal each weekday evening, healthy after-school snacks, occasional weekday hosting, and managing the weekly shop.

Housekeeping

Daily tidying and maintaining order between weekly cleans. Laundry and ironing, coordinating tradespeople, and proactively staying on top of what needs doing without being asked.

PA Support

Managing family calendars, booking appointments, travel and activities, running errands, and helping organise family events.

The Live-in Arrangement

A generous double bedroom on the lower ground floor opening onto the courtyard garden, with a private shower room and sole use of a kitchen diner. Protected time off outside contracted hours and at weekends.

About You

Proven experience in a similar combined household role. A genuine love of children and a calm, consistent approach across a wide age range. A confident, enthusiastic cook. Brilliantly organised and proactive. Full, clean driving licence required. Enhanced DBS (or willing to obtain). Non-smoking.

Salary is competitive and commensurate with experience. Private accommodation as described is provided. We’d love to hear from you.
