Maternity Nurse
An opportunity for an experienced maternity nurse to support a busy professional family with their third baby, with the potential to transition into a longer-term maternity nanny role.
Job Summary
This is a wonderful role suited to an experienced maternity professional who combines excellent newborn expertise with a practical, family-focused approach and enjoys becoming a trusted part of family life. A warm and welcoming family relocating to Hampshire are seeking an experienced Maternity Nurse to support them following the arrival of their third baby, due in December.
With mum returning to her professional commitments relatively quickly and dad travelling frequently, they are looking for somebody who can provide expert newborn support while integrating naturally into busy family life. The first 8–12 weeks are particularly important, and the family would value somebody with strong experience supporting feeding, sleep foundations and newborn development. Mum has experienced feeding challenges with previous children, so they are looking for a knowledgeable and non-judgemental professional who can support whatever feeding journey works best for both mum and baby. The family would appreciate somebody happy to support the wider household where needed, including helping the family transition smoothly to life with three children. They are looking for somebody kind, proactive, emotionally intelligent and comfortable communicating openly with parents. Whilst the family's primary residence will be their new home in Harpenden, there may be occasional travel between Hampshire and London. The family also have two dogs and two cats, so candidates must be comfortable around pets. Whilst the role will begin as a maternity nurse position, the family are open to finding somebody who could continue supporting them beyond the newborn stage as a maternity nanny, providing valuable continuity for both baby and parents. A confident driver is strongly preferred due to the rural location.
