French/English Live-in Governess – Châteaudun, France
An amazing family based in Châteaudun, France is seeking an experienced French/English Governess to care for and educate their adorable 6-year-old son, who is homeschooled. The ideal candidate will be a qualified educator with a strong academic background and proven experience teaching children following the British curriculum.

Responsibilities
Provide a structured homeschooling programme following the Oxford curriculum.
Plan and deliver engaging lessons in English and French.
Support literacy, numeracy, reading comprehension, writing, and overall academic development.
Monitor progress and adapt teaching methods to suit the child's learning style.
Encourage curiosity, confidence, creativity, and independent learning.
Organise educational outings, cultural activities, and enriching experiences.
Engaging good manners, social skills, and positive behaviour.
Work closely with the parents to ensure educational goals are achieved.

Candidate Requirements
Native or fluent English speaker with strong French language skills (or vice versa).
Teaching qualification (PGCE, QTS, Education Degree, or equivalent preferred).
Minimum 5 years' experience as a Governess, Teacher, or Private Educator.
Strong understanding of the Oxford curriculum and homeschooling environments.
Experience working with primary-school-aged children.
Warm, engaging, professional, and highly organised.
EU passport or legal right to work in France preferred.
