A family based in Battersea, SW11, is seeking a French-speaking live-out nanny to care for their 3-month-old baby while they are staying in London for a few months.

The family is currently based in France and would like to continue their baby’s early exposure to French. This is a temporary, sole-charge role suitable for a nanny with strong baby experience.

Monday to Friday
8:00am to 5:00pm
45 hours per week

Salary

£25–£28 gross per hour
Approx. £1,125–£1,260 gross per week

Pets

The family has a gentle 7-year-old Welsh Springer Spaniel.

The dog will have a dog walker on the mother’s working days, so the nanny will not be required to walk him. The nanny must be comfortable and ideally happy to have a dog around.

Role Overview

The nanny will be responsible for the baby’s daily care during working hours.

The mother is still breastfeeding, but sometimes pumps milk. The nanny will need to give expressed breast milk by bottle when the mother is at work.

The role is sole charge, particularly when the mother is working outside the home.

Main Responsibilities

Nanny Duties

Providing attentive, child-led care for the baby
Speaking French with the baby throughout the day
Supporting early exposure to the French language
Following the baby’s daily routine
Feeding the baby as required
Giving expressed breast milk by bottle when needed
Supporting naps and sleep routines
Planning age-appropriate baby activities
Taking the baby out for walks and fresh air
Supporting early development through play
Keeping the baby safe at all times

Child-related Housekeeping

Tidying the baby’s toys and play areas
Cleaning bottles and feeding items
Keeping the baby’s belongings organised
Tidying after feeds and activities
Maintaining a clean and safe child environment

No deep cleaning.

Requirements

Must speak French
Must have strong baby experience
Must be confident with sole-charge care
Must be comfortable giving expressed breast milk by bottle
Must be reliable and proactive
Must be available from 20th July to 11th September 2026
DBS check required
Paediatric First Aid required
Right to Work in the UK required
Self-employed status preferred for this temporary contract
