Experienced Nanny Required – Hammersmith, West London
Start Date: Late August 2026 (with some flexibility for an earlier start)
Location: Hammersmith, London – close to Hammersmith Station (District, Piccadilly, Hammersmith & City, and Circle lines)
Hours: 32 hours per week (£20 - £25 gross per hour)
Schedule
Monday & Friday: approximately 8:30am – 6:30pm
Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday: 3:00pm – 7:00pm
Please note that the youngest child (12 months) will attend nursery full-time Tuesday–Thursday, although there may be some flexibility around nursery days for the right candidate.
The Family
A warm and welcoming family based in Hammersmith are seeking an experienced, professional and proactive nanny to care for their two children – a school-aged boy in Year 1 and a baby aged 12 months.
The family are looking for someone nurturing, organised and highly reliable, with strong experience supporting children in primary school as well as younger children.
French-speaking candidates are highly desirable, although English fluency is essential.
Key Responsibilities
Providing attentive and engaging care for both children
Managing school pickups using public transport
Organising and accompanying the eldest child to playdates and after-school activities/classes in West London
Preparing healthy meals for the children
Assisting with child-related housekeeping duties including:
children’s laundry and ironing
tidying bedrooms and play areas
keeping children’s belongings organised
Occasionally preparing a simple family meal (typically the same meal prepared for the eldest child)
Supporting children’s routines, development and wellbeing in a calm and professional manner
Candidate Requirements
Significant nanny experience with primary school-aged children
Confident managing two children of different ages
Excellent knowledge of child development and age-appropriate activities
Strong organisational and communication skills
Comfortable navigating London public transport for school pickups and activities
Professional, dependable and long-term focused
Outstanding checkable references, including at least one long-term role lasting 2+ years
French language skills would be a strong advantage
