A family based in Queens Park, NW6, is looking for a French-speaking nanny to care for their two children, aged 5 and 3.

This is an after-school role, Monday to Friday. The family lives approximately 5 minutes’ walk from the school.

The family is looking for someone reliable, caring and experienced with young children.

Children

Working Hours
Monday to Friday
3:00pm to 7:00pm
20 hours per week

Option 2
The family can offer an additional hour per day if the nanny is happy to start at 2:00pm.

Monday to Friday
2:00pm to 7:00pm
25 hours per week

This option would include light housekeeping and family laundry before the children’s school pick-ups.

School Pick-Ups
One school pick-up at 3.10pm
One school pick-up between 4:15-5pm, depending on days.
The school is approximately 5 minutes’ walk from the family home.

Salary
Around £20 gross per hour
Approx. £400 gross per week for 20 hours
Approx. £500 gross per week for 25 hours, if the extra hour is agreed
Depending on experience and final working hours.

Role Overview
The nanny will be responsible for the children after school, including school pick-ups, supporting the evening routine such as giving bath, serving dinner and keeping the children’s areas tidy.

Main Responsibilities

Nanny Duties
School pick-up

Take the children to local library or park

Walk the children home from school

Prepare and serve dinner for the children
Support the evening routine
Organise age-appropriate activities at home
Support play, reading and calm activities
Keep the children safe and supervised at all times
Communicate with the parents about the children’s day

Child-related Housekeeping
Keep the children’s areas tidy
Tidy up after meals and activities
Keep school bags, coats and shoes organised
Help keep the children’s belongings in order
No deep cleaning

Additional Duties – Option 2 Only
Light housekeeping before school pick-up
Family laundry
Folding and putting away laundry
Light household organisation
Simple help around the home during the extra hour
No deep cleaning

Requirements
Must speak French
Previous experience with children of similar ages
Reliable, organised and punctual
Confident with school pick-ups and after-school routines
Able to prepare simple meals for children
Good communication with parents
DBS check and Paediatric First Aid preferred
