Experienced and professional live in or live out Governess sought for a warm and informal family based in Doha, Qatar, to support the care and development of one little boy aged 2.5 years old. The role will initially be on a shared care basis alongside the family’s existing nanny, transitioning into more of a sole charge position once settled within the household. The family are seeking a kind, organised, discreet and proactive candidate who is passionate about early years development and able to create a nurturing, engaging and structured environment for the child. Responsibilities will include organising stimulating and age-appropriate activities, encouraging socialisation, supporting developmental milestones, assisting with nursery routines and outings, instilling good manners and etiquette and occasional proxy parenting. A candidate who is confident supporting emotional, social and educational development in a gentle and engaging manner is essential. Norland training or a similar high-level childcare qualification would be highly desirable, and a driver would also be considered a bonus. The household is fully staffed with a nanny, cook and cleaner already employed, therefore a team player who is comfortable working collaboratively within a private household environment is essential. The role can be offered on either a live-in or live-out basis, with accommodation for a live-in candidate provided within a shared two-bedroom apartment with the current Nanny. Working 5 days per week, Sunday to Thursday, 10 hours for two days and 8 hours for the remaining 3 days.
