After School Nanny

A warm and welcoming family based in Hammersmith are seeking a reliable and engaging Afternoon Nanny to care for their 6-year-old twins (one boy and one girl). This is a fantastic part-time opportunity for a candidate who enjoys working with school-aged children and creating a fun, safe, and structured after-school environment.
The role will involve collecting the children from the bus stop after school and caring for them until their father returns home in the evening (typically between 6:30pm and 8:00pm). The successful candidate will be responsible for keeping the children entertained and engaged through age-appropriate activities, as well as supporting their evening routine.
Duties will also include preparing simple, healthy snacks and light meals for the children, ensuring they are well looked after and settled by the time their father returns.
Working hours are Monday to Friday, approximately 3:30pm to 7:00–8:00pm. The family are ideally looking for someone local to the area, and while being a driver would be advantageous, it is not essential. The ideal candidate will be kind, energetic, and dependable, with a positive and proactive approach to childcare.
DUTIES TO INCLUDE BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
• Collecting the children from the bus stop after school
• Supervising and engaging the children in fun and educational activities
• Preparing healthy snacks and simple evening meals
• Supporting the children’s after-school routine
• Ensuring a safe, caring, and structured environment
• Tidying up after activities and meal preparation
ESSENTIAL CRITERIA:
• Previous childcare experience with school-aged children
• Warm, engaging, and responsible nature
• Reliable and punctual
• Ability to work independently and manage afternoon routines
• Good communication skills
• Local to the area (preferred)
• Driver is beneficial but not essential
• Right to work in the UK
• Up to date DBS check and first aid certificate
• Excellent checkable references
