Daventry NN11. A fantastic opportunity is available for a professional, engaging and proactive Support Worker to support a wonderful 20-year-old young lady. Maternity cover. A minimum of £16,151.00 gross per annum for 20 hours a week. Includes lots of lovely trips out and activities that Sue loves. £15.53 Weekdays | £16.56 Weekends.

• Days & Hours: 20 hours per week on a 2-week rolling rota, provided one month in advance. Mix of day and twilight shifts between 8:00am–9:00pm, including some weekends

About this child/client: Sue is a delightful 20-year-old with a cheeky sense of humour and lots of personality. She is non-verbal but communicates clearly through gestures, facial expressions, pointing, picture cards and some Makaton. Sue has a Learning Disability and enjoys swimming, trampolining, trips out and relaxed time at home. She is supported by a strong MDT including Physio, Behaviour Therapy, SaLT and Occupational Therapy.
Overview of role: You will support Sue with daily living, routines and accessing the community, encouraging her independence while ensuring her safety and wellbeing. A key part of the role is supporting meaningful activities, outings and communication in a respectful and empowering way. Support is delivered at home and in the community on a 2:1 basis, following structured MDT guidance. This role is maternity cover for a minimum of 9 months.
Who this role would suit: This role would suit an experienced *female Support Worker, or someone with some Learning Disability experience keen to develop their career in a well-supported environment. You will be calm, patient, observant and confident using alternative communication methods, with a positive attitude and willingness to learn.

Salary Up to £16.56 Gross per hour
Hours 20 hours a week based on a 2-week rolling rota provided at least one month in advance, working a mix of day and twilight shifts between 08.00 and 9.00 PM, including some weekend work.
