Support Worker
3 vacancies available for *female Support Workers in Northamptonshire, NN6, to support a warm and engaging gentleman living with an Acquired Brain Injury (ABI). Up to £21.00 gross per hour.
• Hourly Rates: Day Support Worker – Monday to Friday £17.00 gross per hour (£19.00 after probation), Saturday £18.00 (£20.00 after probation), Sunday £19.00 (£21.00 after probation)
• Night Support Worker Rates: Monday to Friday £18.00 gross per hour (£20.00 after probation), weekends £19.00 (£21.00 after probation)
• Driving Requirements: Essential – own car required to travel to the client’s home. Car available on duty
• Essential: Experience supporting someone with a disability and working with a Multi-Disciplinary Team (MDT). Calm, non-directive approach promoting independence and rehabilitation. Waking Night experience where applicable. *Female applicants only
• Highly Desirable: ABI experience and/or Health & Social Care qualification

About this child/client: Steve is a warm, sociable and humorous gentleman living with an Acquired Brain Injury following a road traffic collision. He enjoys sport, golf, dominoes, backgammon, café trips, walks and supporting Leeds United. Steve lives with his wife and adult children and follows a structured MDT-led rehabilitation programme. He uses a walking frame indoors and a wheelchair for longer outings.

Overview of role: You will support Steve as part of a dedicated team, assisting with mobility, personal care, rehabilitation goals and daily routines using calm prompts and visual cues. You will follow detailed MDT guidance and adapt support to avoid overstimulation and fatigue. Night shifts include monitoring wellbeing, continence care, mobility assistance, observations and medication support.

Who this role would suit: A calm, patient and observant *female Support Worker who can work independently while following structured guidance. You will be confident supporting rehabilitation, personal care and changing needs, with strong communication skills and a positive approach.

Available Vacancies:
• Vacancy 1 – Day Support Worker: Monday & Tuesday, 10:00am–7:00pm (occasionally longer shifts)
• Vacancy 2 – Waking Night Support Worker: 2 night shifts weekly, 8:00pm–9:00am (26 hours), worked on a two-week rota
• Vacancy 3 – Full-Time Support Worker: 31 hours per week on a rolling rota, including alternate weekends
• Flexibility required to cover sickness and annual leave
