A warm and supportive maternity nurse role in South West London helping a growing family settle into life with their second baby while supporting breastfeeding, recovery and sibling bonding.


Job Summary

This is a lovely role suited to an experienced maternity nurse who enjoys supporting families welcoming a second baby and can provide calm, reassuring support during the transition from one child to two. A family based in SW11 are seeking an experienced Maternity Nurse to support them following the arrival of their second baby at the end of August.

Mum may potentially have a c-section and would value practical support, reassurance and experienced guidance during the early weeks, particularly while balancing the needs of a newborn alongside her toddler. The family are not looking for someone to “teach” them parenthood, but rather a knowledgeable and supportive professional who can help reduce pressure within the home and offer calm, experienced support where needed.

The family would particularly value someone who genuinely enjoys working with second-time parents and understands the emotional transition of welcoming another child into the family dynamic. Encouraging positive sibling bonding and helping mum feel able to continue enjoying quality time with her older child will be an important part of the role.

Breastfeeding support will also be appreciated, alongside helping create a calm and settled environment that allows mum the opportunity to rest, recover and enjoy the newborn stage.

This role will suit a warm, compassionate and emotionally intelligent maternity nurse who is confident supporting growing families in a thoughtful and reassuring way.
