Weekend Nanny / Travel Nanny (Lucerne, Switzerland)

A friendly family from Lucerne is seeking a kind and responsible nanny to assist with their 2-year-old son. They already have a main nanny and are looking for someone to help on weekends and during travels. The ideal candidate will be able to combine the role of nanny with personal assistant duties.

Requirements:
- Mandatory experience working with children.
- Proficiency in English at C1 level or higher, as English will be the main language of communication with the child.
- Category B driver's license with confident driving experience.
- Traits of responsibility, punctuality, and flexibility.
- Willingness to travel frequently across Switzerland, the EU, and worldwide.

Responsibilities:
- Provide childcare, engage in developmental activities, and facilitate communication with the child.
- Accompany the family during travel, assisting with packing/unpacking luggage and organizing belongings.
- Perform minor household chores, including laundry, loading the dishwasher, surface cleaning, and taking out the trash.
- During trips, handle hotel communications, order meals for the child, arrange transfers, and procure museum tickets.
- When working full-time, assist the family with personal assistant duties such as scheduling doctor’s appointments, running pharmacy errands, and making restaurant bookings.

Schedule and Conditions:
- Minimum availability is Saturday and Sunday for 8-9 hours per day (18 hours per week).
- There is an option for additional hours on Friday and/or Monday (up to 36 hours per week).
- Approximately 50% of weekends will be spent at home in Lucerne, with the other 50% involving trips (possible departure on Friday and return on Monday) across Switzerland, the EU, and globally.
- Additional trips include 2 weeks in summer and 1 week each season (autumn, winter, spring) by agreement, potentially to long-haul destinations such as England and Japan.
- The schedule will be inverted, with work on weekends and rest on weekdays, along with readiness to adjust for holidays (e.g., Easter).
