Three sweet boys aged 6, 4, and 2 are seeking a live-out English-speaking nanny. Someone proactive who loves adventures, reading and is kind and fun. The children speak both Dutch and English.

You will have sole charge of the two-year-old on Tuesday and Thursday (on the other days, he attends daycare). His older brothers will need to be collected from school during the afternoon on Tuesday and Thursday and at lunchtime on a Wednesday. The ideal candidate proactively plans fun adventures, is excited to provide a fun and enriching environment for the boys, and is keen to embrace their hobbies and passions.

Vital requirements: EU passport or Dutch residence permit.
Location: Amsterdam East, close to Artis, Oosterpark, and Dapperbuurt area.
Days: 3 days | Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.
Hours: Tuesday 8 - 6 pm, Wednesday 12 - 6 pm or 8 - 6 pm and Thursday 8 - 6 pm | 26 or 30 hours.
Some flexibility for occasional early starts and finishing later is appreciated.
Start Date: 10th August.
Commitment & contract length: 7 months, with the option to extend if both parties are happy.

Responsibilities and duties:
Provide attentive, loving care to children at all times
Plan and engage in age-appropriate activities both at home and out and about (a love for the outdoors is ideal; they have an annual pass for the zoo)
Actively arrange playdates and activities - the family is relocating, so a nanny who is keen to help the children make friends, find them activities, and help them feel settled is needed
Helping with laundry
Some assistance with family cooking. The parents will collaborate, provide recipes or meal boxes, etc
Tidying up after yourselves and the boys
Collect the children from school, take them to activities, playdates, etc
Groceries (if needed).

Experience, qualifications, approach, and skills:
Minimum 3 years of professional childcare or nanny experience is required
Someone who will leave the house tidy and organised
Confident holding a boundary, happy to encourage manners, and be a role model for the children
Experience caring for multiple children is needed
Someone able to read the room, be calm when needed, and energetic when needed.

Live-out role, accommodation isn't provided
In general, the parents work outside the house (the Mum might work at home one day a week, she has a separate office space)
The first month will be a handover working alongside the Mum
The family is relocating in the Summer of 2026; the initial interviews will be via Zoom, followed by in-person meetings/trial days.

Agency requirements:
3 years of full-time professional childcare experience
Valid pediatric first aid
A recent police check or DBS, and the DBS update system
Strong written references and a minimum of 3 verbal references.
