Are you confident, friendly, and keen to work collaboratively? Holgate Nannies is seeking a nurturing and proactive live-out nanny confident in caring for a baby. The baby was born in January 2026. You will be caring for her in collaboration with her Mum.

Location: Amsterdam Oud Zuid, within walking distance of Museumplein, Vondelpark, and Zuid station.
Days: Monday - Thursday | 4 days (5 days is also possible if the candidate prefers)
Hours: 9/10 - 7 pm | Flexibility is appreciated.
Start Date: ASAP

Commitment & contract length: 7 months, with the option to extend if both parties are happy.

Passport and visa requirements: EU passport (due to travel, an EU passport is needed rather than a Dutch residence permit).

Responsibilities and duties:
Plan and engage in age-appropriate activities, lots of interaction, and encourage developmental milestones
All baby-related duties, including tidying play areas, cleaning bottles, etc
Load and unload the dishwasher
Run errands
Baby laundry and some ironing of baby items
Happy to assist with weaning, preparing healthy and wholesome meals for the baby
Communicate and update the parents.

Experience, qualifications, approach, and skills
Minimum of 5 years of professional childcare experience,, including nanny experience
Experience caring for babies of the same age
Calm, collected, and confident in all aspects of caring for children
A self-starter who is happy to find tasks to do while the Mum is with the baby
You will be working alongside the Mum, so you must be collaborative and have strong communication skills
Approach has a good balance of following the baby’s lead and setting boundaries
Someone with a good sense of humour
Flexibility is also key for this role.

Additional Details
You need to speak a high level of English; it’s a plus if you also speak Dutch
It’s important that you are happy to travel for 7 - 10 days at a time. Approximately once a quarterly but flexibility is key. When you travel, the hours will be longer, and the usual schedule will be changed
This is a live-out role; accommodation is not provided
Interviews and trials are happening immediately
Driving is not required
The family will arrange employment.

Agency requirements:
Valid pediatric first aid
A recent police check or DBS, and the DBS update system
Written references and a minimum of 3 verbal references.
