GBN497 – Live-in SEN Nanny

A welcoming family based between Dubai and the UK is seeking a qualified and experienced live-in SEN nanny to support the care and development of their 5-year-old son with ADHD. This is a long-term position for a kind, energetic, and proactive nanny who is confident supporting children with additional needs and enjoys working as part of a collaborative team.
The role will involve supporting the child’s daily routines, emotional regulation, education, and overall development while working closely alongside therapists, school staff, and parents to ensure consistency and structure. The nanny will accompany the child to school and activities, plan engaging educational and physical activities, encourage positive behaviour and independence, and help create a calm, stimulating environment where he can thrive. Additional duties include assisting with hygiene and bedtime routines, maintaining the child’s room and wardrobe, and travelling regularly with the family internationally.
The little boy is active, curious, and enjoys tennis, swimming, judo, arts and crafts, as well as cars and trains, so the family would love to find a nanny who is creative, hands-on, and enjoys engaging children through both play and learning experiences.
The ideal candidate will be nurturing yet confident in setting appropriate boundaries, highly organised, flexible, and genuinely passionate about child development and SEN support. Experience with ADHD is essential, and additional experience or qualifications in ABA, speech and language, OT, physio, or early years education would be highly valued.
Requirements
• Fluent English speaker
• Minimum 5 years’ nanny/governess experience
• SEN/ADHD experience essential
• Childcare or education qualifications preferred
• ABA or therapy-related experience advantageous
• Enhanced DBS and Paediatric First Aid
• Excellent references
• Confident with regular international travel
• Available to start ASAP
Package
• Salary from £5,000+ net per month depending on experience
