A maternity nurse role in North West London supporting a second-time family with newborn care, breastfeeding and establishing gentle, baby-led routines.


This is a supportive role suited to an experienced maternity nurse who can provide knowledgeable guidance while maintaining a calm, responsive and family-led approach to newborn care. A family based in NW8 are seeking an experienced Maternity Nurse to support them following the arrival of their second baby in August. The role will begin with approximately three weeks of 24-hour support before transitioning into a nightly structure for the remainder of the booking. The family are looking for a knowledgeable and reassuring professional who can help support feeding, settling and the development of healthy sleep habits in a calm and responsive way. Mum breastfed successfully for six months with her first child and is hoping to do the same again, so strong breastfeeding knowledge will be important. The family value routine and consistency, but prefer a more organic, baby-led approach rather than anything overly strict or rigid. The family previously had an excellent experience with maternity nurse support and are now looking for someone similarly informative, discreet and supportive in approach. They would value someone who can guide confidently while also giving the family space and privacy within the home. This role will suit a calm and experienced maternity nurse who is nurturing, emotionally intelligent and confident supporting families in a gentle and collaborative manner.
