Location: Tirana, Albania, with frequent international travel

A private family based in Tirana is seeking an experienced, highly professional maternity nurse to support the care of their two-week-old baby.

The household leads an international and fast-paced lifestyle, with frequent travel and demanding schedules. The family is looking for someone calm, capable, discreet, and naturally adaptable, a candidate who is comfortable within fully staffed homes and who understands the level of flexibility and awareness required in this type of role.

The ideal candidate will have extensive newborn experience and a thoughtful, intuitive approach. The family would value someone who can confidently establish healthy routines from the beginning, read the baby’s cues with ease, and provide knowledgeable, reassuring support during the early months.

Both parents are busy professionals and are looking for a maternity nurse who can become a trusted presence within the household whilst maintaining excellent judgement and natural professional boundaries. The ability to understand when to step forward and when to remain quietly supportive is highly important for this position.

Although initially offered as a temporary maternity nurse role, the family’s preference is to find someone interested in building a long-term relationship with them, should the position later evolve into a permanent nanny role.
Duties and Responsibilities

Providing round-the-clock care for the baby

Supporting feeding, sleeping, and daily routines

Reading and responding confidently to the baby’s cues and developmental needs

Establishing a healthy structure and consistency from the earliest stages

Supporting the parents with guidance, reassurance, and practical expertise

Managing all nursery-related duties and organisation

Preparing and packing for regular international travel

Accompanying the family on frequent trips, sometimes arranged at short notice

Working collaboratively alongside household staff

Supporting the child’s development, routine, hygiene, confidence, and manners over time

Candidate Requirements

The ideal candidate will:

Have extensive maternity nurse and newborn experience within private households

Speak fluent English

Be highly organised, discreet, calm, and emotionally intuitive

Have previous experience working within fully staffed and fast-paced homes

Be comfortable with frequent and last-minute travel

Be a confident and strong swimmer

Present professionally and understand the standards expected within private households

Be warm and nurturing whilst maintaining excellent professional boundaries

Be confident supporting busy professional parents and dynamic schedules

Be interested in a long-term placement should the role evolve further

Hold an up-to-date paediatric first aid certificate and excellent checkable references
