Weekend Nanny
We are looking for an uplifting, energetic and playful LIVE-IN DRIVING weekend nanny to join a wonderful single mum and her sweet neurodiverse four-year-old daughter (functioning as a two-year-old). The role will start in mid-June on a long-term basis. They live in Primrose Hill in a beautiful central location next to amazing parks and London zoo.
The ideal candidate will be happy with a mix of sole and shared care as the mum is very hands on but also needs some time for herself. They would like someone to be on call over the weekend however there will be a great deal of down time as the grandparents are also very involved and love to pop in and the little girl sleeps through the night.
The role will suit either a more junior live-in weekend nanny who is happy to learn or for someone who is looking for a rewarding shared care role. You will be working with a child who has global, social, physical and communication delays and is developmentally behind. She is making incredible progress, and you will be trained so there is a consistent approach.
During the week she attends afternoon nursery and has a live-in Monday to Friday nanny as well as a tutor who comes to work with her in the mornings. You will need to support with the activities set by the tutor and nanny which involves a playful approach such as blowing bubbles, jumping on the trampoline and gesture led activities. The little girl is delightful, super sweet and loves playing, going to the park or zoo, seeing animals and attends ballet and gymnastics. The ideal nanny will be very physically able, highly organised, flexible and helpful.
The mum would love to find a long-term confident driving weekend nanny to become part of her family. You need to be an excellent communicator, a native or fluent English speaker and ideally able to swim. They also need a nanny who enjoys cooking fresh simple healthy meals for the little girl.
They are looking for someone who is passionate about working with young children and is interested in child development, supporting with helping her reach her milestones. They want someone who is lots of fun, very imaginative, patient and calm who has a firm yet fair positive, encouraging approach.
Accommodation is your own lovely bedroom, TV with Netflix, bathroom shared with the child and kitchenette with fridge, freezer, kettle.
