Nanny
A warm, busy family based in Islington are seeking a proactive and highly organised Nanny/Manny-Family PA to support their two children (aged 15 and 13) and help keep the household running smoothly including ideally walking the dog (cavapoo).
This is a fantastic long-term role for someone who enjoys working with older children and can confidently balance childcare with household organisation and PA duties.
The Children
- 15-year-old boy – lively, bright and independent, with ADHD. A talented musician (drummer in school jazz and big band, also learning jazz piano), with interests in tennis and cycling.
- 13-year-old girl – bright, sporty and sociable, plays netball for school and club.
The Role
During term time, the role will primarily focus on after-school care and organisation, alongside light PA duties (including dog walking). During school holidays, full-day cover will be required.
Key responsibilities include:
- School pick-up (daughter at 4pm)
- Cooking healthy, family-style meals for the children
- Managing school uniforms, laundry, and general organisation of children’s belongings
- Purchasing clothes, gifts, and essentials for the children
- Organising social activities, playdates, and holiday plans
- Supporting with logistics such as scheduling activities and appointments
- Light PA duties (food shopping, dry cleaning, booking services, liaising with contractors, organising car servicing, etc.)
- Dog walking (ideally)
- Driving to activities (particularly netball training – driver preferred)
- A cleaner is also employed on a daily basis, so no heavy housekeeping is required.
Hours
Term Time (Flexible):
- Typically Monday–Friday, 12:30pm–7:30pm (guaranteed 7 hours/day)
- Open to reduced afternoon hours (e.g. 3:00pm–7:30pm) for someone that didn't want to include light housekeeping and other family assistant duties. Salary adjusted accordingly.
School Holidays:
- Full-time cover required, typically 7:30am–7:30pm (Mon–Fri)
- Some flexibility (e.g. 10:00am–7:00pm may be considered)
- The family travels extensively during holidays and you will not be required to travel with the family. This means, you will often be paid for full-time hours without working the full period. You will be expected to take your annual leave during these times (e.g. August).
