About the role/child: SENNIES is excited to support a warm, caring family seeking support for B5 who has complex and profound disabilities due to Phelan-McDermid syndrome, during the summer school holiday. B5 has high care needs and requires 24/7 supervision and support for all aspects of daily living. He attends a special needs school that supports his development, and the role involves continuing supportive approaches he is familiar with, including sensory-based support, structured routines, play-based engagement, and communication methods such as visual cues or alternative communication. B5 is very content, sweet-natured, and an amazing little boy who, once comfortable, comes out of his shell and enjoys connection with those around him.

The Sennie will need to be physically fit, strong, kind, and hands-on, with a willingness to provide all types of care. This includes personal care, physical support, and actively engaging with B5 in a way that assumes competence and encourages interaction. The focus is on spending quality time with him, building trust, and caring for him with the same level of attentiveness and warmth his family provides, ensuring he is always happy, comfortable, and well supported.
