Part-time Live-in Family & Household Assistant (Nr Shaftesbury)

We’re a friendly, busy family in rural Dorset looking for a kind, reliable and practical person to help support our home on a flexible, part-time basis (around 25–30 hours per week).
This is a varied role that would suit someone who enjoys being part of family life and helping things run smoothly day to day. Our home is a large, historic property, so we’re looking for someone who is naturally respectful of their surroundings and takes pride in being careful and organised.
What the role involves:
• After-school help with the children (including some pick-ups)
• Dog walking and pet care
• Running errands (shopping, post office, etc.)
• Light housekeeping and keeping shared spaces tidy
• Helping organise children’s clothes and bits around the house
• Occasional babysitting (agreed in advance)

Hours are flexible, generally across weekdays, with a mix of daytime help and after-school support.
Pay: £14–£16 per hour depending on experience, with live-in accommodation available if helpful. Babysitting paid in addition where applicable.
We’re looking for someone warm, proactive and easy to have around, with good judgement, a respectful approach to the home, and a high level of discretion.
