Nanny
An active, laid-back and playful family are sadly saying goodbye to their current nanny and are looking for a fun, energetic and empathetic live-in nanny to join them at the end of July or beginning of August.

They are looking for someone to care for their two children: B7 and G4. The hours are Monday to Friday, 7:30am–7pm, with 1.5 hours off each day. Nursery duties — including light household tasks, children's laundry and preparing food for the week — are completed within these hours. One evening a week of babysitting is included in the salary. In the school holidays, the nanny will have both children full-time.

In the mornings, the nanny will help with the morning routine — mum is often around to help when needed — and complete the school drop-off, which is just 100 metres from the house. In the afternoons, the nanny will do pick-up, take B7 to his after-school clubs, assist with homework and lead the evening routine. In the school holidays, the nanny will have the children full-time and is encouraged to plan a variety of activities.

The nanny's duties will include before and after school childcare, babysitting, taking the children to clubs and activities, cooking for the family, clearing meals, children's laundry, basic housework (the family has a cleaner), coming up with ideas for G4's activities, organising the children's toys and clothes, occasional grocery shopping, and helping with the family's pet cat and rat.

B7 is extremely playful, chatty, active and loves exploring the world around him. G4 is playful, funny and considerate. She loves imaginative play and arts and crafts, and really enjoys calm adult company.

The family's life took a major turn in January when G4 was diagnosed with leukaemia. She began her treatment journey immediately, which has so far gone very well. The leukaemia G4 was diagnosed with has extremely good treatment outcomes, her progress with treatment has been excellent, and her prognosis is very good. The full treatment programme is however long at 2+ years and, given regular hospital trips or nurse visits and the fact she is immunocompromised most of the time, their day-to-day life has changed a lot.

While the nanny would not be required to have anything to do with G4's cancer care (medication, hospital visits etc.), it is of course essential that they are comfortable with the reality that one of the children they would be caring for is undergoing treatment for cancer. Life is more home-based at the moment as a result, and G4 is not currently attending school. The family largely avoids indoor public activities at the weekend and G4's days are centred around home, the park and the playground.

Someone who is comfortable travelling with the family is key. The family also have a gentle and sweet cat and rat that the children adore, so being comfortable around them is equally important.

The live-in accommodation consists of a private bedroom
