Family & House Manager

Overview
A lovely low-key family with twin daughters aged 16 is seeking an exceptional Family & House Manager for their beautiful New Forest weekend retreat.
This is a rare and rewarding role, part estate manager, part trusted family presence, for someone who takes as much pride in a perfectly run home as they do in genuinely connecting with young people.

Job duties

The House: Overseeing the day-to-day running of the estate, preparing the property for each weekend arrival, managing household staff (housekeeper, cook, grounds team), coordinating contractors, and keeping accounts and inventories in good order.

The Family: Being a warm, consistent presence for the twin girls — supporting their routines, transporting them to activities, and helping them feel at home in the New Forest. Managing the family calendar, sourcing local experiences, caring for the family dog, and coordinating wardrobes and personal services.

Events & Hosting: Planning and delivering private dinners and gatherings, sourcing local suppliers and floristry, and creating personalised, effortless hosting experiences.

Candidates must be/have:
A natural organiser with a warm, proactive personality and proven experience in high-calibre household or hospitality management.
Equally confident managing contractors as connecting with teenagers — discreet, dependable, and someone who notices what needs doing before being asked.
A valid UK driving licence is essential.
Knowledge of the New Forest or sailing would be a bonus.

Hours
Friday to Sunday, approximately 9:30am – 7:30pm, plus two weekdays. Two weekdays off. Flexibility required. Work vehicle provided.

Salary
£45,000 – £55,000, depending on experience.
