Experienced Nanny (Baby-Focused Role) – Elmstead Woods | £18–£20 Gross per Hour

A warm and welcoming family based a 10-minute walk from Elmstead Woods railway station are seeking an experienced nanny to primarily care for their 7-month-old son, with occasional support for their active and sociable 5-year-old daughter.

This is a lovely opportunity for a confident, organised nanny who enjoys working with babies and being part of a well-supported household.

About the Children

The baby has a well-established routine, including structured naps and a 7:30pm bedtime. He is in the early stages of weaning and enjoys attending classes and outings. He is a very happy and content baby, currently sitting and rolling, but not yet crawling.

His older sister (5) is energetic, social, and loves being active — enjoying swimming, gymnastics, bike riding, crafts, baking, and games.

The Role

The nanny’s primary focus will be the baby, including:

Managing his daily routine and naps
Supporting weaning and meal preparation
Planning and organising engaging, age-appropriate activities
Taking him to local classes and outings

There will be occasional support required for his older sister.

The family already employs an experienced nanny (focused on the daughter) and a full-time housekeeper, so this role would suit someone who enjoys working collaboratively as part of a team.

Working Hours
Monday: 2:30pm – 9:30pm
Tuesday: 9:00am – 5:00pm
Wednesday: 7:30am – 7:30pm
Thursday: 2:30pm – 7:30pm
Friday: 2:30pm – 10:30pm

Total: 40 hours per week

Additional weekend hours available if desired.

Additional Details
Salary: £18–£20 gross per hour
Driving: Essential – a car is provided for nursery duties and outings (within ~30 minutes)

The Ideal Candidate
Minimum 8 years’ nanny experience, with strong baby experience
Confident supporting weaning and early development
Proactive, organised, and engaging
Enjoys planning outings and activities
A team player, comfortable working alongside another nanny and housekeeper
