Job description:
An international, professional family based in central Vienna is seeking an experienced, warm, and flexible live-in maternity nanny to support them with their first baby (due May 2026). The family divides their time between Vienna, Cyprus, and international locations, therefore flexibility and willingness to travel are essential. Both parents are highly involved and are looking for a supportive, collaborative nanny (no proxy parenting).
The ideal candidate will provide a calm, structured, and nurturing environment, supporting early development and establishing gentle routines from the outset.
The role is primarily childcare-focused (approx. 80%), supported by light nursery duties (approx. 20%). A housekeeper is already employed.

Duties:
Newborn care, routines, and early development (sensory play, reading, stimulation)
Preparation of meals for the child in line with Kosher household practices, along with nursery organisation, children’s laundry, and light housekeeping
Supporting daily structure and wellbeing, occasional babysitting & international travel
Requirements:
5 - 10 years’ experience with strong newborn background | English B2–C2 | EU passport
Non-smoker, reliable, discreet, calm, structured, proactive & flexible
Travel-ready | Preferred: degree, maternity nurse background, swimming/skiing

6 days/week (1 day off) | 45–50 hours/week
Mainly daytime + flexibility for evenings/nights
(compensated via time off in lieu or agreed hourly rate)
Additional Information:
Live-in position with private furnished room and en-suite bathroom, internet, wardrobe space, and full access to kitchen and laundry facilities (utilities included). This is a calm, well-organised household with first-time parents who travel frequently between Vienna and Cyprus, therefore a high level of flexibility is essential due to the dynamic schedule and international travel. The role suits a collaborative and proactive nanny who supports routines, communicates well, and contributes positively to a child’s development, with a strong emphasis on trust, discretion, and a respectful, positive working relationship.
