Nanny-Housekeeper
Full-Time or Part-Time • Live-In or Live-Out

We are a warm, lively family of five based in Bath: three children aged 13, 11 and 9. We are a busy household, but we laugh a lot, we’re close, and we value kindness, humour and people who genuinely enjoy being part of family life.

We are looking for a mature, proactive and genuinely child-focused person who takes pride in helping a household run smoothly.

This is a family assistant role, not just childcare. The right person will enjoy being involved in the rhythm of a busy home and will be trusted to notice what needs doing, whether that is supporting school routines, helping with the children, light household tasks, food shopping and prep, dog walking, children’s laundry or general organisation.

Core hours and responsibilities will be agreed clearly from the outset, with some flexibility needed around school holidays, occasional evenings and Mum’s work travel.

ABOUT THE ROLE

A blend of childcare and family support, including:
• Before and after-school care, including breakfast, school runs, clubs, homework and supper
• Supporting the children’s routines confidently and positively
• Light housework related to family life, including tidying, food prep, children’s laundry and organising (we have regular cleaners who come once a week)
• Taking initiative to keep things running smoothly
• Minimal daytime childcare during term time
• More daytime support during school holidays
• Occasional overnight help when Mum travels for work
• Optional travel with the family during school holidays
• Dog walking and feeding. Occasional house/dog-sitting whilst we’re away on holiday

Part-time option:
Afternoons, early evenings and some weekend mornings

WHAT WE OFFER
• A warm, respectful family environment
• Fair pay, depending on experience
• Clear communication around hours, duties and expectations
• A long-term role where the right person will be genuinely valued and included
• A household that runs with fairness, humour and clear communication

WHO THIS ROLE SUITS

We would love to hear from you if you are:
• Caring, reliable and genuinely enjoy spending time with children
• Confident supporting older children aged 9 to 13
• Someone who takes initiative rather than waiting to be asked
• Happy to help with the natural running of a home
• Organised, warm and easy to be around
• Looking for a role where you become part of the family team
• Eligible to work in the UK with strong references

This role would not suit someone looking for a fixed babysitting-only job or very minimal involvement in family life. It will suit someone who likes children, likes homes, and enjoys helping a busy family run well.
