THE HOUSEHOLD
A warm, energetic family based in Belgravia until mid-July before relocating to their spacious country home in Marlow, Buckinghamshire - they are hands-on, engaged parents who work in genuine partnership with their nanny, and they share their home with two much-loved dogs who are very much part of daily life. We are proud to have placed their Maternity Nanny who is leaving after a very happy almost 12 months with the family. 

THE ROLE
— The central focus is the care and development of a happy, bright one-year-old girl through her toddler years and into preschool age — this is a role that grows with her
— A child-led or Montessori-informed approach is warmly welcomed; the family have been intentional about screen-free early years and take her development seriously
— Daily life is active and varied: sensory play, reading, singing, creative activities, classes, parks and outdoor time form the rhythm of the week
— You will confidently support key milestones — walking, early language, social development — while maintaining a calm, structured and stimulating routine
— Toddler nutrition and meal preparation sit within the role, including transitions such as moving away from bottles; nap routines and early behaviour management are part of daily life — A paediatric first aid qualification is essential; strong awareness of safety as mobility increases is non-negotiable

— Hours are 45 per week across five days, structured at nine hours per day between 7:30am and 10:30pm on a rotating rota provided two weeks in advance, with one sleepover per week (she sleeps through)
— Two days off each week, with one to two full weekends off per month where possible; overtime is paid or given as time in lieu, agreed in advance

— The family travel throughout the year and hope to find someone who embraces both sun and ski; their chalet in Megève is a regular destination — all travel is planned well ahead and fully covered

— A private en-suite double room is provided in Marlow, London and Megève for live-in candidates

THE CANDIDATE
— A minimum of three to five years' nanny experience with a strong, demonstrable focus on the toddler stage
— A relevant childcare qualification is required; Montessori training or child-led approach experience is a distinct advantage
— Calm, organised and consistent — someone who brings genuine energy and enthusiasm to this stage of childhood, not someone simply managing it from a distance
— A confident driver with a clean licence; a car is provided (essential for the Marlow move)
— Comfortable and at ease around dogs
— Seeking a long-term position with a family they can grow with — stability and continuity matter deeply here
