A maternity nurse role in Gloucestershire supporting first-time parents with feeding, routine development and confidence-building during the early months.

Job Summary
This is a supportive, longer-term role suited to an experienced maternity nurse who can provide calm, knowledgeable guidance and help first-time parents feel confident from the outset. A first-time family in Gloucestershire are seeking an experienced Maternity Nurse to support them following the birth of their baby. Mum is likely to have a C-section and will value gentle support with recovery, rest and settling into a calm, manageable routine. She hopes to breastfeed but is open-minded, so a flexible and supportive approach will be important.
The family would really value a reassuring and knowledgeable professional who can offer clear guidance and explain the reasoning behind their approach; a medical background would be a welcome bonus. The focus of the role will be to support both parents in establishing good feeding and sleep habits, building their confidence and helping them feel well prepared as they move forward into parenthood.

Job Specification
• Providing 24-hour care for a newborn
• Supporting feeding, including breastfeeding where possible
• Assisting with settling and establishing healthy sleep habits
• Supporting maternal recovery following a C-section
• Offering clear, practical guidance and reassurance
• Helping establish a calm and consistent routine
• Managing all nursery duties
