A long term, live in Nanny role supporting a private family, caring for three young boys across a London residence and a Scottish farmhouse, suited to a nurturing and experienced candidate seeking a collaborative, travel inclusive position

Job Summary:
This is a long term role within a warm and well established private family, suited to a professional nanny seeking stability, mutual respect, and a genuinely collaborative working environment.

The role is based within a private family household, providing care for three young boys aged 6, 5, and 3. The position involves a mixture of sole and shared care, working closely with hands-on parents in an informal but well-structured environment.

The family divide their time between their London home and a farmhouse on the west coast of Scotland, where school holidays and half-terms are often spent. This offers a varied working environment, with a strong focus on outdoor activities and active routines.

The household values long-term relationships with their staff, with a history of maintaining close and respectful connections over time. The successful candidate will become an integral part of the children’s lives and the wider household dynamic.


Schedule:
• Term Time (approx. 45 hours per week):

Monday: 8:00am – 7:00pm
Tuesday & Wednesday: 2 hours (morning) + 3:00pm – 7:00pm
Thursday: 12:00pm – 7:00pm
Friday: 8:00am – 7:00pm

• School Holidays (approx. 50 hours per week):

8:00am – 6:00pm
Includes: 1 week February, 2 weeks Easter, 1 week May/June, 8 weeks Summer, 1.5 weeks October, 1 week Christmas

Job specification:
• Planning and implementing age-appropriate, engaging activities
• Managing school runs (cargo bike or car)
• Supporting homework and after-school routines
• Organising and accompanying the children to clubs, playdates, and outings
• Preparing children’s meals and overseeing bath and bedtime routines
• Children’s laundry and maintaining tidy play and living areas
• Running light errands to support the household
• Assisting with occasional PA-style tasks
• Providing proxy parenting on rare, pre-arranged occasions

Candidate specification:
• Proven experience caring for multiple children of similar ages
• Kind, nurturing, and emotionally supportive approach
• Confident managing sibling dynamics in a calm and consistent manner
• Proactive, organised, and able to use initiative
• Enjoys outdoor activities and travel
• Strong communication skills and team-oriented mindset
• Driver preferred (automatic car available)
• Long-term, committed, and professional
