Private Educator, Governor/Governess – Casatenovo, close to Milan | International Travel

Location: Milan (until late June), followed by European summer travel (incl. Gstaad) and relocation to Oman
Start: Immediate (2-day paid trial)
Compensation: Circa €120,000 gross per annum (dependent on experience)
Schedule: 6 days per week (primarily afternoons/evenings)

The Role

A private international family seeks an outstanding Private Educator to take full oversight of the academic lives of their six children aged between 13 and 3, all of whom attend the British School of Milan.

This is a highly involved, long-term position requiring a candidate of exceptional calibre who can combine academic rigour with discretion, structure, and emotional intelligence.

You will act as the central figure in the children’s educational journey—ensuring consistency, accountability, and excellence across all subjects, while fostering independence and intellectual curiosity.

Key Responsibilities
Full oversight of all academic matters across the six children
Ensuring homework is completed to a consistently high standard
Designing and maintaining structured academic routines
Teaching and supporting core subjects (Maths, Science, Geography, History)
Delivering IGCSE Business & Economics tuition (not offered at school)
Monitoring progress and liaising (where appropriate) with schools
Instilling discipline, organisation, and a strong work ethic
Candidate Profile
Exceptional academic background (teaching or elite private tutoring experience)
Strong familiarity with the British curriculum and IGCSE framework
Proven experience working within private households or UHNW environments
Highly organised, structured, and detail-oriented
Discreet, polished, and emotionally intelligent
Able to confidently manage multiple children across different age groups
Flexible, solutions-focused, and calm under pressure
A natural authority figure with a warm, mentoring approach

Italian language skills are advantageous but not essential.
