After School Nanny

Job Summary:
A warm and welcoming family is seeking an experienced After School Nanny (SEN) to support their 5 year old daughter.
The household is fully staffed, with a live-in nanny caring for the younger sibling and a morning nanny supporting both children. The family are now looking for a dedicated After-School Nanny who can focus on the 5-year-old, providing consistent guidance, structure, and positive reinforcement in a calm and nurturing manner.
The child is potentially on the autism spectrum, and the family is looking for a nanny with mild autism experience who understands how to support neurodiverse children with sensitivity, patience, and awareness. This role requires someone who can encourage positive behaviour, good manners, and clear boundaries while adapting their approach to suit the child’s individual needs.
The family are flexible regarding days, offering either Monday to Friday or 3–4 weekdays with 1–2 weekend days.
Some flexibility is appreciated, as additional hours may occasionally be available (optional).
The family travel abroad in the summer for 1.5 months as well as over Christmas and Easter for around 2 weeks – the After School Nanny is not expected to travel with them.
Job specification:
• School pick up – pick up at 3pm using public transport
• Helping with homework
• Taking the child to playdates and after school activities
• Arts and crafts and age appropriate activities
• Encouraging good manners, discipline and respectful behaviour
Candidate specification:
• Previous experience within a similar role
• Good level of English
• Firm but fair, confident in setting boundaries
• Ideally educated or qualified in childcare
• Reliable, warm and engaging
• Flexible and adaptable when needed
Enhanced DBS check required at offer stage & and a current First Aid Certificate
