Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced and professional Maternity Nanny to support a private family with the care of their 6-month-old baby for a 6-month placement.
This role is based in India with regular international travel, and is suited to a calm, knowledgeable and highly attentive nanny with strong infant experience. You will be responsible for establishing structure, supporting development and guiding the parents through key stages including sleep training and weaning.
You will work closely with the parents to ensure consistency in approach, while bringing confidence and expertise in infant care. The role requires someone who is comfortable working in a 24/6 live-in schedule within a private household.
Key Responsibilities
Infant Care & Routine Development
Establishing and maintaining healthy sleep routines, including sleep training
Creating a calm, structured and nurturing daily routine
Monitoring and supporting developmental milestones
Feeding & Weaning Support
Supporting and guiding weaning
Planning and preparing age-appropriate meals
Ensuring feeding routines are consistent and appropriate for age
Development & Activities
Planning age-appropriate activities to support growth and learning
Organising and attending classes, playdates and outings
Encouraging early development through structured and play-based activities
Monitoring & Record Keeping
Maintaining detailed records of feeding, sleep and development
Tracking progress and adjusting routines as needed
Environment & Organisation
Ensuring the baby’s environment is clean, safe and organised
Maintaining high standards across all nursery duties
Parental Collaboration
Working closely with parents to align on routines and care approaches
Providing guidance and reassurance where needed
Candidate Profile
Proven experience caring for infants (essential)
Advanced certification in infant sleep training
Formal childcare qualification (e.g. Early Childhood Studies, Cache Level 4/5)
Strong knowledge of weaning practices and baby nutrition
Solid understanding of infant development and milestone tracking
Calm, patient and highly attentive to detail
Discreet, reliable and professional
Flexible and comfortable working a 24/6 live-in schedule
Experience in private households preferred
British passport holder
Native English
