About the Client: Max is a bright, energetic and affectionate boy, nearly 7, living with his parents. He loves swimming, outdoor play, football, trampolining, music and Disney films. Max is pre-verbal and has Autism, Hypermobility and Hypertonia. He uses PECS to communicate and requires full support with emotional regulation, communication, transitions and personal care. Max can display behaviours that challenge, including sensory-seeking behaviours, and benefits from calm, consistent support. He currently attends Forest School one afternoon a week and therapy sessions (ABA-based and SaLT) three afternoons a week.
The Role: Max is awaiting an SEN school placement (expected September 2026). You will follow a structured weekly routine, building a trusting relationship while consistently implementing behavioural and communication strategies. The role includes supporting PECS communication, emotional regulation, transitions, toilet training, outdoor play, meal preparation and light child-related household duties. Collaboration with parents and therapists is essential.
Who This Job Would Suit: An experienced, energetic SEN Nanny/Manny with strong Autism experience, particularly with pre-verbal children and behaviours that may challenge. You will be confident implementing PECS, enjoy active days outdoors, be a strong swimmer and be emotionally resilient. A shared interest in music or football is a bonus.
Why You’ll Love This Role: A rewarding, long-term opportunity to make a meaningful impact on Max’s development while working closely with a supportive family.
