Job Summary
This is a structured maternity nurse role suited to an experienced and professional candidate who is confident guiding first-time parents through the early stages of new-born care. The role requires a calm, knowledgeable individual who can offer reassurance, practical teaching, and steady support within a well-organised household. The position is based within a private, fully staffed household supporting first-time parents as they welcome their new-born. This is a collaborative environment where the maternity nurse will work alongside parents, providing both hands-on care and clear, professional guidance.

The family are seeking a candidate who is confident across all aspects of new-born care, including feeding methods and routine establishment, and who can adapt their approach to suit the family’s preferences. The role will involve both supporting the baby directly and helping parents build confidence in their own approach.
There are two small dogs in the home, and the candidate should be comfortable working in a household with pets

Job Specification
• Providing expert care for the newborn baby
• Supporting and guiding first-time parents in all aspects of newborn care
• Advising on and supporting feeding, including breastfeeding, bottle feeding, and combination feeding
• Establishing and maintaining appropriate routines based on the family’s preferences
• Offering practical teaching and reassurance to build parental confidence
• Monitoring the baby’s development and wellbeing in the early weeks
• Working collaboratively within a fully staffed household environment

• Proven experience as a maternity nurse within private households
