Job description:
A warm international family based in Milan is seeking one German native-speaking nanny to join their fully staffed household. The position is structured as full weekends (Friday 12:00 – Sunday 21:00) plus 1–2 weekday afternoons. This is considered a full-time role due to the structure and flexibility required.
The family has four children (girls aged 7, 6 and 4, and an infant boy) and already employ two British nannies and a maternity nurse, who primarily care for the younger children.
The new nanny will mainly support the two older girls (7 & 6) with their routines, development, and activities, with a particular focus on German language exposure. Most weekends are spent in St. Moritz, where the nanny will work alongside a British nanny, together caring for all four children, while maintaining primary focus on the two older girls. The household is well organised and experienced with professional staff, and the family values a collaborative, long-term relationship with their nanny. The children enjoy ballet, music and sports, and the nanny should be happy to encourage these interests.
The family travels frequently, including international trips 5–6 times per year, which the nanny may occasionally join. English is spoken at home and the father also speaks German.

Duties:
Planning and organising age-appropriate activities and birthday parties
Homework supervision and educational support
Escorting the children to school, extracurricular activities, playdates, and appointments
Supporting daily routines, including weekend care
Assisting during meal times and maintaining children’s areas
Encouraging positive behaviour, independence, and good manners
Supporting the children during family travel when required

Requirements:
- German native speaker with good level of English
- Previous experience with school-age children
- Energetic, organised, and nurturing personality
- Comfortable working in a fully staffed household
- Driver’s licence and childcare qualifications preferred
- Minimum 5 years professional nanny experience (working in HNW environments)
- Flexible and happy to travel with the family

The initial interview will be conducted with the family’s PA, prior to meeting the family directly.

This is a live-in role on working days, with a separate studio apartment provided in Milan during off days
Weekends are typically spent in St. Moritz
