About the Role:
A warm and welcoming family based in Paris is seeking a responsible, child-focused Evening Nanny to care for their two children who are 6 and 10-year-old child after school. The school is within walking distance from the family’s home, so no driving is necessary.
The ideal candidate will be attentive, trustworthy, and engaging – someone who can balance being warm and supportive while maintaining structure during the after-school and evening routine. Fluency in both French and English is essential to support the child’s language development and assist with bilingual homework tasks.
A new baby is due in July, and although mum will be at home until January, someone who is confident with babies would be a great help. Come January, a pick up from nursery will also be required.

Regarding the school holidays, the schedule would be from 5:15 pm to 8:15 pm on the three days, and they would require the nanny for one of the two holiday weeks.

Responsibilities:
Collecting the child from school (a short walk from the apartment)
Supervising play and activities in a safe, attentive manner
Supporting with homework in both French and English
Reheating and serving the evening meal (no cooking required)
Assisting with the bedtime routine – brushing teeth, changing, and helping the child settle
Ensuring the child is safe, calm, and well-prepared for the next day

Requirements:
Fluent in French and English
Previous nanny experience with school-aged children
Excellent attention to safety, especially in an apartment with a balcony
Kind, reliable, and highly child-focused
Able to legally work in France (EU passport or relevant visa/work permit)

The Ideal Candidate:

You are calm, consistent, and dependable with a genuine love of working with children. You are confident supporting the evening routine and can build trust with both child and parent. You bring a gentle authority and are proactive in encouraging good habits and a smooth transition to bedtime. Also confident with babies.
