Rota Live-In Nanny (French-speaking) – Kensington, London
A warm, nurturing and dynamic HNW family based in Kensington is seeking an exceptional Rota Live-In Nanny to join their household and play a key role in the upbringing of their two young boys (a baby and a toddler).
This is a truly exciting, hands-on position for a professional who is passionate about child development and looking to become an integral part of a loving, engaged family. The parents are very involved and work from home frequently, so the ideal candidate will be confident working in a shared-care environment and committed to supporting quality family time.
The Role
24/7 rota schedule (working in rotation with another nanny)
Live-in position with travel (Europe & USA, approx. 3 times per year)
Focus split: approximately 70% baby, with shared support for toddler
Collaborating closely with parents and a fully staffed household
You will be responsible for maintaining consistent routines, supporting sleep training (including overnight care), and ensuring a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for both children.
Key Responsibilities
Overseeing all aspects of the children’s daily routines (sleep, feeding, activities, hygiene)
Supporting and maintaining structured sleep training, including night care
Planning and preparing nutritious meals; creating weekly menus for both children
Organising age-appropriate, engaging developmental activities
Monitoring and supporting developmental milestones
Accompanying children to classes, outings, and playgroups
Keeping detailed notes and updating parents on progress and routines
Maintaining high standards of safety, hygiene, and organisation
Managing children’s bedrooms, wardrobes, and supplies
Assisting with light housekeeping related to the children, particularly on weekends
Working harmoniously with other household staff
Candidate Profile
Minimum 10+ years’ professional nanny experience (ideally with longevity in previous roles)
Fluent French speaker (essential)
Energetic, proactive, and highly organised
Strong knowledge of early childhood development and routines
Experienced in shared-care roles with hands-on parents
Calm, intuitive, and emotionally intelligent with a positive, nurturing approach
High attention to detail with excellent safety and hygiene awareness
Confident communicator who can offer thoughtful input and suggestions
Professional, discreet, and team-oriented
Holds relevant childcare qualifications and up-to-date first aid certification
Eligible to work in the UK
