Nanny–Housekeeper – Zürich, Switzerland

A warm and entrepreneurial Swiss family living near Zürich is seeking a positive, flexible, and hands-on Nanny–Housekeeper to join their household. About the family

We are a kind and modern Swiss family with two cheerful and curious boys aged 7 and 8. We value warmth, respect, structure, and independence in our children. We are looking for a caring and professional individual who enjoys being part of family life while maintaining a well-run and welcoming home.

Key responsibilities

Provide loving before- and after-school care, ensuring warmth, consistency, and structure in the children’s daily routines.

Assist the children with their homework in English or German and encourage learning through creative and educational activities.

Prepare healthy and balanced meals for the children.

Take initiative with all child-related tasks: laundry, organizing wardrobes and play areas, and keeping their spaces tidy.

Assist with general household tasks for the parents, including laundry, light cleaning, meal preparation, keeping common areas organised, and managing household supplies.

Run errands and handle small household shopping or appointments on behalf of the family (e.g. groceries, dry cleaning, deliveries).

Coordinate with external service providers as needed (e.g. cleaners, maintenance).

Support a calm, joyful, and well-organised household, taking pride in high standards of care and presentation.

Show flexibility and willingness to adapt to the family’s schedule, including occasional travel.

Schedule

6 working days per week

1 day off per week

Approximately 50 hours per week

Flexibility required depending on the family’s schedule

Candidate requirements

Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar Nanny–Housekeeper position within a private household

Native English or German speaker preferred

Positive, proactive, and trustworthy personality with excellent organisational skills

Genuine love for childcare, domestic management, and creating a pleasant household environment

Confident setting respectful boundaries while maintaining warmth and empathy

Qualification in childcare, education, or hospitality an advantage

Valid driving licence and confidence driving in Switzerland

EU citizenship or valid Swiss work permit
