Experienced Nanny (Live-In or Live-Out) – Wandsworth Common SW12 – Mid-May to August

Friendly professional family near Wandsworth Common (SW12) seeking an experienced temporary nanny to cover our nanny’s maternity leave from mid-May until the end of August.

Attractive salary depending on experience. Optional use of a self-contained one bedroom flat with garden next door to our home.

We have three children aged 7, 11 and 15. The children are engaging, friendly and active, and enjoy sport, being outdoors and spending time with friends. The majority of the role is looking after our 7 and 11 year old girls as our 15 year old is a weekly boarder and very self-sufficient.

A driving licence is essential for this role.

Hours

Monday–Thursday: 7:30am – 7:30pm
Friday: 7:30am – 6:30pm

During term time, the younger children attend school locally from just after 8am until around 4–5pm, so although the role is paid for full days, there is typically a substantial break in the middle of the day.

Someone who would be happy to house/cat sit while we are away (we have a few weeks holiday planned over the summer) would be an advantage but is not essential.

Responsibilities

During term time
Morning routine and getting children ready for school
School drop-offs and pick-ups (school is a 10-minute walk from our house)
Taking the children to clubs and activities
Helping with homework where needed
Preparing supper for the children and family

During school holidays
Planning fun and active days out for the younger two children

The Person We Are Looking For

Someone who is:
Kind, energetic and reliable
Calm, organised and proactive
Confident managing school-age children and busy schedules

Both parents work full-time in the City, so reliability, initiative and good communication are very important to us.

Our current nanny would be very happy to speak with candidates about the role, and there would be the opportunity to overlap with her for 1–2 weeks to ensure a smooth handover.
