Nanny-Personal Assistant
A warm, organised, and proactive family assistant/nanny is sought for a busy family.
The ideal candidate is nurturing, kind, confident, and happy to help maintain the smooth running of the home.
The eldest child will be four in April 2026. She attends daycare with her sister, who will be two in May 2026. In the afternoons, you will collect the girls, take them to activities, the park, and plan fun craft projects, etc.
Ideal candidates for this role enjoy both childcare and family assistant tasks.
Vital requirements
You have your own accommodation locally
Speak a high level of English.
Location: Apollobuurt. Museumplein and Zuid station are both within walking distance.
Schedule:
Option 1: 32 hours | 4 days
Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday from 1.45 - 8 pm
Friday 1.45 - 11 pm.
Option 2: 40 hours | 4 days
Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday from 10 - 8 pm
Friday 8 - 6 pm or 9 - 7 pm.
The family prefers Wednesday as the day off; however, they can consider a schedule of Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, with Friday off. They are open to discussing different schedule options and confirming the exact schedule during the interview process. They are also happy to offer extra hours occasionally on Saturdays (this is not a requirement).
Some flexibility will be needed.
Commitment & contract length: Seven months, with the likelihood of extending if it's working well.
Passport and visa requirements - EU passport or Dutch residence permit.
Responsibilities and duties:
Provide attentive and engaging care to the children, including collecting the girls from daycare
Prepare healthy, simple meals for the children and parents. Batch cooking would be appreciated
Ensuring the house is tidy and organised, and maintaining structure around the children's toys, clothes, and laundry
Plan and engage in age-appropriate activities
Maintain children’s schedules, including naps, school, and activities
Child-related housekeeping, including tidying play areas, dishes, etc
Childrens and parents laundry
Keeping household organisation and inventory
Encourage developmental milestones and positive behavior
Groceries and running errands.
Experience, qualifications, approach, and skills:
Strong references from previous childcare positions
Someone naturally nurturing with lots of patience is needed
A nanny who is keen to receive and ask for feedback
Confident, open, honest communicator
Very organised and efficient with an eye for detail
Candidates need to speak a high level of English; it's a plus if you also speak Spanish.
Additional Details
This is a pet-free household
Cycling and driving are not required
Interviews and trial days are happening from March 2026 onwards
The family will arrange employment.

3 years of full-time professional childcare experience
Valid pediatric first aid
A recent police check or DBS, and the DBS update system
Written references and a minimum of 3 verbal references.
