Au Pair
The family I work for are looking for a live-in au pair for their youngest daughter (14 years old) to help before and after school, on Saturdays and during school holidays. This is a part-time role, around 20-25 hours per week, 5 days a week including a full day on Saturdays (Wednesdays and Sundays are free days). The family generally need help early morning (6-7am) and in the evening (7.00-9.30pm), as well as Saturdays, and 1-2 evenings of babysitting per week. Given the daughter's age, this is not a typical au pair position but would suit someone who is studying part-time or has another flexible occupation during the day. Overtime hours are paid at an hourly rate in addition to the basic 20-25 hours minimum expected per week. Flexibility with hours is required when one or both parents are travelling. Occasional travel with the family during school holidays is a possibility, so a UK or European passport holder would be preferred. Light cleaning and occasional meal preparation is required but there is also a full-time housekeeper in charge of cleaning and food prep. The au pair would have the use of a private bedroom, bathroom and small living area in the basement of the house. A driving licence and an interest in golf would be a bonus. Thanks for reading.
