Nanny
The Role
This is a super opportunity to work with a lovely family in Barnes who are seeking an experienced, professional, charismatic and caring full-time live-out nanny to help care for their three boys (6 years, 4 years, 1 years). The position will involve a mixture of sole charge and shared care. Mum works from home, Dad is in the City. The ideal candidate will be experienced with primary-school-aged and able to help establish and maintain a positive homework routine. Responsibilities include all standard nursery duties, including preparing fresh, healthy and nutritious meals for the children. All boys are happy, healthy and well-established in their routines. The ideal candidate will be energetic, kind and nurturing, with a love of the outdoors and the ability to support curious, inquisitive young minds through engaging, age-appropriate activities.
Please note: the family travel internationally (up to around 8 weeks a year or potentially more). Some international travel will be required with plenty of advance notice. There is also scope for flexible nanny holiday arrangements.
Responsibilities include but not limited to;
- Nurture and support development for ages 1–6 years with a positive, fun and nurturing approach
- Establish and maintain homework and daily routines for primary-age children B6 and B4
- Attend baby classes and fun outings for B1 (sensory, swimming, music)
- Plan and run stimulating, age-appropriate activities and local outings (play parks, Barnes woodland and wetland areas, Kew Gardens)
- Manage daily routines: meals, naps/transitions for baby, hygiene, bedtime
- School/nursery runs and local errands as required
- Children’s meal preparation and laundry; keep play areas / toys organised
- Communicate daily updates to parents; coordinate schedules and developmental goals
- Provide attentive care while travelling with the family when required
Requirements
- Minimum 5+ years paid nanny/childcare experience, with strong experience caring for primary-school children (references required)
- Enjoys planning creative, outdoor and educational activities
- Clear DBS/background check (or willing to complete)
- Non-smoker, reliable, punctual, and positive attitude
- Driving licence
- Willingness to travel internationally with the family when required
