Overview

A professional, entrepreneurial couple based in Ghent are seeking a dedicated, warm and “sunny” Nanny to join them as they prepare to welcome their first baby in July 2026.
This is a unique opportunity for a highly experienced Nanny looking for a long-term commitment with a growing family. The mother holds cherished memories of her own childhood Nanny and hopes to recreate that same positive, lasting influence for her child.
The role will begin when the baby is just a few months old, ensuring a smooth transition from the newborn stage into a structured long-term routine. The mother will take a short maternity leave before returning to a demanding role within the family business, so a confident, reliable Nanny able to take full charge of childcare is essential.

Working Hours

Monday to Friday
8:30am – 7:00pm
Additional hours will be required for:

Evening babysitting
Occasional weekend support
Travel periods
(Time off in lieu or additional payment will be provided.)
Flexibility is essential due to the family’s entrepreneurial schedule and international lifestyle.

Accommodation

The family reside in a 3-bedroom apartment in central Ghent
The Nanny will be provided with a separate private studio apartment nearby, offering independence and privacy
Duties

Full nursery and Nanny duties from infancy
Establishing and maintaining feeding, sleep and developmental routines
Supporting early years milestones and overall development
Managing all child-related responsibilities with full autonomy
Preparing meals for the child
Child-related laundry and organisation
Packing and travelling with the family internationally
Working harmoniously within a well-run household
Travel

The family travel extensively throughout the year, including:

Regular stays at their home in the South of France
Winter trips to the Caribbean
Additional international destinations
The Nanny must be confident, organised and enthusiastic about frequent worldwide travel.

Ideal Candidate

EU passport holder (essential)
Native or fluent English speaker (essential)
French and/or Dutch a strong bonus
Extensive newborn and infant experience
