Happy Nest Nanny & Maternity Agency is delighted to support a warm and welcoming family in Hastings, East Sussex, who are searching for a professional Nanny to provide home education and nurturing care for their delightful 5-year-old twin girls.

The twins are full of character , funny, engaging, and brimming with curiosity. They love imaginative play, exploring the outdoors, and learning in a hands-on, creative way. We are seeking a nanny who can embrace and guide their early education journey through the Steiner/Waldorf approach, creating a home environment that is both nurturing and inspiring.

The Role

Plan and deliver a Steiner/Waldorf-inspired curriculum, supporting the girls’ natural rhythm of learning.They attended a Waldorf group when the girls were younger and have decided that the Steiner education is the path they wish to continue on. If you are not familiar full training will be given
Encourage learning through play, creativity, storytelling, music, and the arts rather than structured academics at this early stage.
Provide a rhythmic daily routine, balancing indoor and outdoor play, creative activities, and rest.
Use natural materials and imaginative resources to develop creativity and curiosity.
Support the girls’ love of the outdoors with regular nature walks, gardening, and seasonal activities, in line with Steiner principles.
Create a calm, nurturing, and consistent atmosphere that values kindness, respect, and independence.
One of the girls has cerebral palsy and has additional needs around her mobilty,but this is something she is very well supported with and doesn’t stop her from doing the things she wants to do!

Candidate Requirements:
To be considered for this role, candidates must meet all of the usual Happy Nest Nanny & Maternity Agency criteria, which include:

Knowledge in Steiner/Waldorf style childcare or education - preferred but not essential as training will be given
Knowledge and understanding of child-led, holistic, and creative learning methods.
Warm, patient, and creative personality with the ability to inspire confidence and joy in learning.
Professional nannying or teaching background with strong references.
Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain).
Paediatric First Aid certificate.
Full driving licence (a family car can be provided for use if required).
