Nanny
We are delighted to offer a wonderful long-term opportunity for a kind, warm and capable nanny to join a lovely family based in Notting Hill.

This is a genuinely super family who already employ one of our weekend nannies, and the relationship has been extremely positive on both sides. They are now seeking a new nanny to work Monday to Thursday, 12.00pm to 7.30pm, replacing a much-loved nanny who has been with them for several years and is leaving due to a change in personal circumstances.

You will be caring for the family’s three very sweet daughters, aged between 4 and 6 years old. The family is keen to find a nanny who will become a long-term part of their lives and ideally stay with them for many years.

The family is flexible on the start date and can accommodate either an ASAP start or a September start. During school holidays there will be periods when the family is away, and they are also understanding if you already have holidays booked. This role is very much intended as a long-term position.

The parents feel extremely fortunate to have had such wonderful nannies previously and are genuinely looking for the next very special nanny to join their family.

The ideal nanny will have a positive, can-do attitude and be someone who truly enjoys caring for and nurturing young children. You should be confident organising fun, creative and engaging activities, both indoors and outdoors, and be happy taking the children out in all weathers. Someone who is organised, proactive and naturally tidy will thrive in this role. This position would not suit someone who is a clock-watcher, frequently late or disorganised.

The role is a mix of sole charge and shared care. Dad works full-time, while mum is a freelancer and may sometimes be out of the house for long days, and at other times working from home. Mum is very easy to work with and enjoys collaborating with the nanny when she is around. It is essential that you are fully comfortable with both sole charge and shared care arrangements.

Occasional babysitting will be required, and at times you may be asked to proxy parent if both parents are away overnight. The attractive salary reflects this responsibility. There is also plenty of downtime during the mornings while the children are at school and nursery.

The family places strong value on play-based learning and would love a nanny who shares this philosophy and has a genuine interest in early childhood development.

Occasional travel may be requested during holidays, typically to Sweden, America, France or Switzerland.

Duties include all standard nanny responsibilities such as dressing, bathing, meal preparation, age-appropriate play and activities, tidying as you go, and occasional children’s laundry if required.

In the family’s words, they are looking for:
“Someone positive, energetic and organised, who is firm but loving. Someone who will take the girls outside no matter the weather, has fun activities up their sleeve, stays on top of clothes, packing, meals and routines, and tidies as they go. Someone who is easy to be around as part of the family, and who could ideally proxy parent if my husband and I are away for a night or two.”
This is a truly lovely opportunity for an experienced nanny seeking a warm, respectful family and a long-term role in a beautiful setting.
