Full-Time Live-Out Nanny/ House Manager / Light Housekeeping (Excellent English speaking) – SE23 Sydenham


- To look after 2 children - a 9-year-old boy and a 6.5-year-old girl

- Location: Sydenham, SE23

- Ideal start date: Mid March 2026, to be able to do a short handover with the current nanny who has been with them for 4 years



- Working days and hours:

From March to the end of September: Monday to Thursday from 8am to 6pm (40hours/week)
From October onwards: Monday to Thursday 11.30 to 6.30 + full days during the school holidays + some babysittings (getting to an average per week between 35 and 40hours)

- Salary: £16- 17net per hour

- Language requirements: English speaking.

- Driving licence is mandatory, with experience driving in London. The car is an automatic SUV.

- The family has a cleaner. They are not looking for the full housekeeping

Duties:
- Food shopping & cooking
- Laundry/ironing/wardrobe management for the children
- Pick-ups / homework supervision / Reading / Playing with them
- During school holidays, days out might be organised, i.e going to museums

They are looking for a nanny who can take full ownership of the children’s day-to-day routines and well-being, showing initiative and foresight in all aspects, from preparing their bags and managing their belongings to noticing when they need new clothes. She should approach her role with a calm, consistent, and clear attitude, creating a stable environment where the children understand expectations and feel confident knowing the nanny is gently but firmly in charge. She must also respect the wider family dynamic, working seamlessly alongside parents and other members of the household (grandparents) while maintaining her authority and being a trusted, present figure for the children.

They value open and honest communication and want to be aware of any issues regarding the children. No phone use or television during working hours is expected unless specifically agreed.
