The family are looking for a kind, warm and confident nanny who would like a long term, sole charge position looking after 2 children B5 and G2.5 years old and they hope to expand with a new addition to their family in the future.

Both children are at school and nursery – the oldest is at school until 4pm (except for Fridays when he finishes at 3pm) and the little girl finishes nursery at 1pm 4 x per week and once per week she stays full day until around 3.30pm which will be increased to 3 days in the summer. The children are bright and energetic and will thrive from a nanny who should be both interested in the children and their news as well as interesting, encouraging conversation and curiosity.

The nanny will have sole charge outside of school/nursery hours and during the school holidays. While children are at school, the nanny will have time to cook/prepare fresh, healthy varied meals, organise the home and carry out child-related housekeeping duties including laundry, wardrobes and their rooms and toys .


The suitable candidate needs to have a positive energy, someone with experience working with preschool and primary school age children. The right fit is someone who is kind, someone who has a genuine love for children and who can help them reach their developmental and educational milestones in a fun and engaging way. It is important for the nanny to have clear communication skills as well as a calm and positive attitude.


The nanny should be a self-starter who can take initiative, someone who loves being outdoors, is energetic, and has the ability to be fun and adventurous whilst understanding that safety is paramount. The nanny should be able to come up with fun, creative, imaginative and educational activities and play. The nanny should enjoy taking the children to their afternoon classes and activities or arranging social arrangements or hang out in the local park or play in the garden.
The right candidate must have an up to date DBS. First Aid, Fluent English. Excellent references.
Duties include, but not limited to:
• Take/Collect from school – 5 – 10 min walk
• Preparing meals and cleaning up afterwards
• Keeping common areas clean and tidy
• Reading to and with the children
• Supervising and encouraging homework
• Taking children to their after-school clubs (swimming and football)
• Arrange playdates
• Encouraging learning and development through different activities
• Ensuring play areas are tidy and organised and toys have been put away
• Changing children’s linen
• Doing children’s laundry
• Instil kindness and manners and have their own good moral compass to be a good role model
• Help build confidence
