Girl, 1 year. She is a very happy, social baby — smiley, curious, and particularly enjoys being sung to, read to, and engaging with people around her.

A professional family in Central London is seeking a capable, warm, and experienced live-out nanny to care for their first baby. This is a lovely opportunity for a confident nanny who enjoys supporting first-time parents and providing calm, consistent, one-to-one care.

The family is currently based near Tower Bridge and plans to relocate later this year to a greener, more residential area in Zone 2 (Camden / Primrose Hill / Chalk Farm area). They hope to move in the coming year.

The Role

This position is part of a split-care arrangement designed to offer the best balance for a young baby:

Mornings: baby will attend nursery on a half-day basis
Afternoons: sole charge care at home with one consistent caregiver

Working hours:

Monday–Friday
1:00pm–7:00pm

Mornings are fully covered by the parents.

The Ideal Nanny

The family is looking for someone who is:

Experienced and confident with babies
Calm, nurturing, and emotionally attuned
Mature, reliable, and capable of working independently
Comfortable supporting a baby’s routine, development, and wellbeing
Happy working as part of a thoughtful, engaged household
The family are vegetarian (eggs are ok) so important to be comfortable with this.

This role would suit a nanny who prefers afternoon schedules and values building a strong bond with one child.

Key responsibilities include:

Preparing all of the baby’s meals
Managing feedings and naps
Supporting and maintaining age-appropriate routines
Engaging the baby in activities that promote early learning and development
Ensuring the baby’s wellbeing and day-to-day care

This is a city-centre role and no driving is required.

A cleaner is employed, allowing the nanny to focus fully on childcare.
