Live in Nanny to work in beautiful Norway with a kind, first-time nanny family with an 8 month old, offering private accommodation and a supportive home environment

Job Summary:
A welcoming family in beautiful Norway is looking for a warm, experienced Live in Nanny to join their home and care for their 8 month old. This is the family’s first time hiring a nanny, though they currently have a maternity nurse supporting them. They’re looking for someone mature, nurturing, and confident in supporting a toddler’s development and helping them reach their key milestones.

You’ll become a valued part of the household, working closely with the parents and enjoying your own private apartment within the home. This will be a mix of sole and shared care.

Job specification:
• Supervise and care for one young child, ensuring their safety, happiness, and engagement
• Create and maintain a structured daily routine (meals, naps, play, learning)
• Plan and lead age-appropriate activities to support development and creativity
• Prepare nutritious meals and snacks for the child and, occasionally, the family
• Support with light housekeeping, tidying common areas and helping maintain a clean environment
• Handle laundry and ironing for the child and household
• Assist with pet care for two small, friendly dogs (feeding, walks, etc.)
• Monitor the child’s health and developmental progress, and communicate any concerns
• Maintain open, regular communication with the parents
• Be flexible and proactive in adapting to the family’s needs

Candidate specification:
• Good nanny experience, especially with toddlers
• Confident supporting early years development and routines
• Kind, calm, and conscious in caregiving
• Holds an EU passport
• Comfortable around dogs
• Able to take initiative and work collaboratively with parents
• Discreet, respectful, and professional

Accommodation: The nanny will have access to a private apartment within the family’s home, offering personal space and comfort in a peaceful setting.

Enhanced DBS check required at offer stage & and a current First Aid Certificate
