We are on the search for an educated, professional and highly experienced rota Manny/Governor for a returning client of ours. They are based in Kensington and have a residence in the countryside where they spend the holidays. Occasional travel to other destinations. This is a two week rotation. Starting at 6am through to 8/8.30pm when the children go to bed. Your accommodation when on duty is a two bedroomed apartment five minutes from the family home.
You will be caring for one child predominately who is 7 years old. However, you may on occasions have the 4 & 8 year old in your charge for brief periods. There is also a baby who would not be your responsibility. After school tutors are also employed
You will be responsible for all areas of the day-to-day care. Assisting the little boy with morning routines which will include, washing, dressing, breakfast and school runs. Diary and wardrobe management. Organise play dates, activities and outings. Encourage good manners, social skills and good behaviour. Assist with homework, liaise with teachers and general children’s admin.
This is a fully staffed household, and everyone pulls together. The housekeepers are responsible for the laundry and there is a chef who cooks for the family. You will not have to cook but it will be requirement for you to heat the food prepared and oversee mealtimes. Your day will end with the bedtime routine and encourage the children to read.
The children have a balanced upbringing and love to play chess, games, play musical instruments and learn additional languages.
They have very busy and active days so you must be on the ball and highly organised with excellent communication skills.
The ideal candidate should ideally be a native English speaker as English is not the families first language. You must be educated to a degree level and have the confidence to support the children’s education and development. Would be great if you have a teaching qualification (TEFL will not count). This is a formal household, but the parents are very communicative and show a strong interest in their children without being suffocating. This is a position for someone who is a career Governor who is dedicated and committed to their chosen profession.
